Airmax II

This extensive range of versatile, heavy-duty industrial unit coolers is designed for cooling and freezing duties in medium and large cold room facilities. They are widely used in conjunction with meat storage, packed products and agricultural produce.

The Airmax II range consists of three main types, each specially designed for use under different conditions and using different refrigerants.

Airmax II DX
This is a direct expansion evaporator for use with all HFC refrigerants as well as water/glycol coolers. There are more than 200 standard models with capacities from 5 to 180 kW, the result of combining different coil configurations, fan diameters (up to 800 mm) and fin spacings. An extensive selection of optional equipment is also available.

Airmax II DX units can thus tackle every requirement for keeping fresh and frozen goods refrigerated over a temperature range from +30°C to -40°C, with any level of humdity.

Airmax II HP
This range is specifically designed for use with carbon dioxide – one of the most environmentally friendly refrigerants. This requires special high-pressure (PS = 50 bar) configurations.

Capacities of from 8 to 155 kW at -40°C (with DT=10K) are available, and these units are normally used in cold rooms ranging from medium to very large in size.

Airmax II NH3
Airmax II NH3 coolers are specially configued to use ammonia as refrigerant, and to comply with the special requirements this involves. They are most commonly used in medium and large-sized cold storage facilities, and are available with capacities from 18 to 160 kW.
